KLIPSCH LA SCALA AL6

Description:

Unveiled in 1963, the Klipsch La Scala fits classic Klipschorn magic into a smaller but no less mighty package. This legendary loudspeaker is the modern update to its storied older brother, offering contemporary sound and looks while adhering firmly to core principles.

The La Scala AL6 features a three-way, horn-loaded system delivering exceptional efficiency and greater acoustic power with less wattage. Upgrades include an extended phase plug for cleaner highs, a larger 3" compression driver (K-1133-HP) for increased sound pressure, and a Tractrix midrange horn with Mumps technology.

For the first time, La Scala upgrades to a patented horn-loaded, vented system featuring a K-281 12" woofer, maximizing efficiency and producing richer, robust bass. It also supports the optional Heritage Active Crossover for advanced time and phase alignment.

Features:

• 3-Way Fully Horn-Loaded System - generates greater acoustic power with less wattage for crystal clear sound and minimal distortion.

• Extended Phase Plug - paired with the K-771 compression driver to prevent cancellations and equalize wavelengths for cleaner dispersion and clarity.

• 3" Compression Driver (K-1133-HP) - increases sound pressure to the horn's throat for more voluptuous volume and power.

• Tractrix Midrange Horn with Mumps Technology - features a shorter 2" throat and small contours to maintain frequency response to the horn's edge.

• Horn-Loaded Vented Low-Frequency System - pairs the K-281 12" woofer with a folded horn and vented enclosure for richer and more robust bass.

• Optional Heritage Active Crossover Support - aligns time and phase while boosting frequencies and balancing EQ for a flat, color-free response.

• Redesigned I/O Panel - includes passive and active inputs and a passive output relocated to the back for a cleaner look.
